What are microgreens?

What are microgreens used for?

Microgreens are used as garnishes as well as incorporated into main dishes. They can be added to salads, sandwiches, wraps, and smoothies. The possibilities are endless!

What are the health benefits of microgreens?

Because microgreens are harvested so early in their developmental stage, they are packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. According to a study done by The University of Maryland, microgreens contain up to 40x the amount of nutrients when compared to their mature leaf stages.

I bought a live 5x5 tray. How do I maintain it?

The trays have holes at the bottom and take a little water each day. The microgreens do not need direct sunlight and can be placed anywhere in your house, such as your countertop. After 7-10 days, we recommend whatever is leftover be cut and then stored in the fridge to maintain freshness.

How long do the pre-cut microgreens last in the fridge?
